About chicago randonneuers
Chicago Randonneurs is a nonprofit cycling organization dedicated to promoting the welfare and development of recreational long-distance, self-supported endurance cycling in the Chicagoland area.
We organize thoughtfully planned rides that emphasize safety, camaraderie, and personal challenge, encouraging riders to expand their confidence and curiosity in the sport of randonneuring—across the United States and around the world.
Our rides and programs are open to anyone interested in long-distance cycling. We welcome riders of all backgrounds and identities and are committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive community regardless of race, color, creed, gender identity, or disability status.

support our mission
Chicago Randonneurs NFP is an Illinois not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations help us keep events accessible, maintain and design routes, support safety and education, and grow an inclusive long-distance cycling community.
get involved
Chicago Randonneurs is a volunteer-run organization, and our events wouldn’t be possible without the people who support them behind the scenes.
We’re always looking for help with:
- Route design
- Scouting and pre-rides
- Event coordination
- Social media
- General assistance
You don’t need to be an experienced randonneur to help—just reliable, curious, and willing to pitch in. Volunteering is a great way to support the community, learn how events work, and contribute even if you’re not riding.
If you’re interested in helping at an upcoming event or getting more involved, we’d love to hear from you.
Support the rides. Support the riders. Help keep Chicago Randonneurs rolling.
